AOI is seeking a product & component Reliability test engineer in Sugar Land, TX to implement transceivers and component reliability tests, investigate failure mechanisms under mechanical, physical, chemical stresses, and improve product performance.

The role covers reliability tests (HTOL, HBM/ESD, environmental, EMI), root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive corrective actions and sustained quality.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of semiconductor laser dies, process monitoring, and photonic integration circuit quality control preferred.
• Exposure to SEM, EDS, XRD, FIB, TEM and related analytical techniques.
• Experience debugging and failure analysis of prototypes and products.
• Strong understanding of optical communication principles and standards.
• Knowledge of GR-468 Generic Reliability Assurance Requirements.
• Excellent presentation, reporting, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable and good team player.

Responsabilidades

• Work on optical transceivers’ qualification and reliability testing and identify failure modes.
• Analyze environmental factors and their impact on transceivers’ failure.
• Identify manufacturing defects, quality control issues and assembly problems.
• Detect aging and wear in Tx & Rx components.
• Diagnose root causes and prevent failures in optical transceivers.
• Complete products qualification and reliability reports to GR-468 requirements.
• Analyze failure mechanisms using analytical tools and knowledge.
• Debug and write procedures related to production and field returns; monitor performance.
• Organize and manage complex reliability test projects with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate analysis results and propose corrective actions to relevant teams.
