Job summary

AOI in Sugar Land, Texas is seeking a Quality Section Manager for Production Transceiver Qualification & Reliability to lead a team ensuring performance, durability, reliability and compliance of current and next‑gen optical transceivers.

You will direct qualification programs, coordinate cross‑functional test strategies, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with industry standards such as ISO9001 and Telcordia GR-468.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in optical transceiver reliability testing or qualification engineering.
• Experience with environmental chambers, optical test equipment, and reliability analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Telcordia GR-468, JEDEC JESD22, and other relevant standards.
• Leadership & team-building abilities.
• Clear and effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Project management to handle timelines, resources, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead qualification and reliability test programs for transceiver products including 100G/200G/400G/800G transceivers.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to define and execute test strategies and standards. Supervise and mentor reliability engineers and technicians.
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
• Build and mentor a high-performing reliability engineering team, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
