Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a hands-on Opto-Mechanical Test Technician to test optical systems per manufacturing documentation. You will use interferometry, alignment telescopes, and inspection devices to ensure assembly quality.

• Optical alignment and test experience desired.
• Assembly experience desired.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and process instructions.
• Experience using standard hand tools (Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches).
• Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing.
• Solid, quality-minded work ethic with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative, team-oriented attitude preferred.
• US Citizen or PERM Resident required.

Job Summary

This position will test opto-mechanical systems in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, etc.) using a variety of hand tools, measuring devices and test equipment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Align and test optical systems using interferometry, alignment telescope, and optical inspection devices.
• Work with assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and dial indicators.
• Environmental testing of opto-mechanical systems using thermal chambers and vibration machines.
• Document actions by completing checklists.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• General lab maintenance as necessary.

Job Qualifications

Salary Range

Salary Range: $62,800.00-$83,700.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
