Job summary

OptiGrate - IPG Photonics in Oviedo, FL is seeking an Optical Test Engineer to fabricate, test and certify advanced diffractive and holographic optical components. Qualifications

• BS or MS in electronics, optics, or physical sciences.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical, optical, and electrical specifications using drawings and manuals.
• Hands-on experience with optical measurements and laboratory testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, test, and certify unique diffractive and holographic optical components.
• Characterize optical elements and optimize test flows and processes.
• Conduct element and system-level diagnostics and alignment; test optical components.
• Operate automated (computer-controlled) equipment and lasers.
