Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience in a busy Columbus-area practice. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts, aligning patient prescriptions with the right eyewear and services while supporting medical needs.

You’ll connect patient requirements to goods and services, leveraging your ophthalmic experience and customer-service skills in a fast-paced retail-medical setting.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Background check as required by state; able to provide identity and work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate with prescriptions.
• Operate ophthalmic instruments such as lensometer.
• Educate patients on lenses, coatings, and frames for individual needs.
• Accurately collect measurements (bridge, pupillary distance, etc.).
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and perform repairs as needed.
