We're looking for an experienced Optical Technician to join our team in Tampa!

Responsibilities

• Collecting and recording patient medical history
• Instructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations
• Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (eye pressure)
• Measuring pupil size and reactivity
• Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement)
• Performing dry eye testing
• Participating in light cleaning of the facility
• Maintaining a sanitized environment
• Performing corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasonography
• Assisting with contact lens fitting and instructing patients on insertion and removal of contacts
• Preparing for and assisting with in-office procedures including consenting patients

Travel: Travel will be required between Optic Soho locations (Tampa/Riverview).

Qualifications
