Job summary

The Framery, the online eyewear brand from 1-800 Contacts, is seeking a licensed optician to serve as an embedded advisor on a paid, project-based research and prototyping initiative focused on how customers narrow down frames and decide what looks good. • Licensed dispensing optician with 5-10 years of experience in customer-facing retail optical settings.
• Strong ability to guide customers from options to confident purchases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resident optical expert on a multi-phase project.
• Demonstrate how an experienced optician guides customers through frame choices.
• Review concepts and prototypes from fitting and styling perspectives.
• Participate in selected customer research sessions and tests.
• Advise on frame attributes that matter to customers and align with catalog language.
• Evaluate emerging tools like style quizzes, virtual try-on, and AI-assisted recommendations.
