Job summary

Amazon Leo Optical Inter-Satellite Link seeks a Software I&T Engineer to develop reliable software for device control and test automation, and to participate in the full life-cycle of software deployed in orbit.

You will work with software, hardware and systems engineers to support design, build, integration, test, and deployment of high-speed optical communication systems. This role offers collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and growth opportunities within Amazon Kuiper.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience.
• 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment.
• Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software, ranging from device control to test automation
• Develop supporting test, validation, and simulation software infrastructure
• Participate in the full life-cycle of software development, from requirements definition and design all the way to deployment and maintenance in orbit
• Work closely with software, hardware and systems engineers to support design, build, integration, test, and deployment of high speed optical communication systems
