Job summary

Eyemart Express is seeking an Optical Retail Manager for West Des Moines, IA. Under the General Manager, you will lead store sales, merchandising and customer experience, ensuring professional eyewear purchases and daily operations.

You will supervise staff, greet customers, hit sales goals, manage inventory, and uphold company policies. A High School diploma or GED is required; retail or optical experience is preferred and benefits include health and vision insurance and 401k.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Experience working in the optical industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Store presence: ensure a manager or lead is on duty and open/close procedures are followed.
• Drive sales through effective product feature explanation and value-based closing.
• Train staff to greet customers within 2 minutes and assist them after entry.
• Maintain store sales goals and overall store performance.
• Enforce company policies, manage inventory, and ensure store cleanliness and organization.
