Job summary

Eyemart Express in Wichita, KS is seeking a part-time Optical Retail Sales Associate to help customers choose eyewear, lenses, and coatings. You will provide friendly service, promote promotions, process transactions, and assist with insurance claims while maintaining patient files and HIPAA guidelines.

You'll learn product knowledge and work orders for the lab, take measurements, and ensure the final glasses meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Experience in optical industry preferred but training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Process payment transactions and refunds.
• Process insurance claims.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Create and maintain patient files following HIPAA policies.
• Assess patient needs and preferences.
• Take measurements.
• Prepare work orders for the lab.
• Pull correct lenses per work order.
• Inspect final product for accuracy.
• Adjust/repair damaged frames.
• Price, stock, and straighten merchandise.
