Job summary

Zenni Optical is seeking an Optical Quality Technician to test and document non-conforming lenses in our manufacturing facility. You will use lensometers, digital analyzers, calipers, and the LMS to identify defects and record precise metric data.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will help prevent rework and support continuous improvement by logging defects, initiating remakes, and sharing data with cross-functional teams to drive quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate lensometers, thickness gauges, optical layout systems, and precision testing equipment.
• Experience with optical Laboratory Management Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection of non-conforming lenses using specified equipment.
• Identify root causes across manufacturing processes and document findings.
• Verify specifications against ANSI/ISO standards and original prescriptions.
• Log defect metrics in LMS and generate remake tickets to minimize delays.
