Zenni Optical in Obetz, Ohio is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair optical manufacturing equipment, ensuring smooth production and minimal downtime.

In this weekday role (Mon-Thur, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.), you will balance production support with preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and document daily activities. A mechanical/electrical background is preferred, with overtime including weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of ladder logic used in PLC systems.
• Familiarity with robotic equipment controlled by PLCs and legacy relay logic.
• Experience operating or working around equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts.
• Ability to use a multimeter to measure voltage, resistance, and capacity, including working safely around 480V power systems.
• Proficiency with basic computer software for maintenance tracking and communication.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures and safe maintenance practices.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules in industrial environments.
• Ability to access PM tasks via a tablet and document daily work in the MCCS system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a wide range of optical manufacturing equipment, balancing production support with preventive maintenance.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot in-line manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify faulty components, and perform repairs using standard tools and documentation.
• Inspect, service and repair production equipment using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
