Walman Optical invites applications for an Associate Technician role in our optical lab in the Minneapolis area. The position is full-time, focusing on set-up, operation and basic maintenance of lab equipment used for surface or finish portions of production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, basic math skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task, orientation to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic high school level math skills required
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Interpret Rx work tickets and perform production operations
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
• Set up, operate, and maintain lab production equipment
• Ensure proper cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff
• Assist with calibration and supply management
