Eyemart Express in Abilene, TX is hiring an Optical Lab Technician to cut, edge, and create prescription lenses so customers receive their glasses promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working in a lab or technical setting is preferred.
• Experience working in the optical industry is preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow technical manuals and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lab Work: Identify and work with basic optical laboratory equipment and materials, and meet hourly deadlines.
• Prescription Management: Read and input prescription specifications to ensure lenses are cut properly.
• Maintenance: Keep the lab area and equipment safe and organized, perform scheduled maintenance.
• Operational Excellence: Handle multiple tasks at several equipment stations and complete reporting forms promptly.
