Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our production team in Claremont, NC. You will develop and maintain PLC programs for Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens hardware, support HMI and data exchanges, and help commission new equipment.

You will ensure backups, safety compliance, and continuous improvement through IEC languages, motion control, and industrial networks. Strong problem-solving and communication are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science is required.
Experience programming Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Schneider, and Siemens PLCs.
Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action.
Clear communication and attention to detail in a collaborative environment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred: background in fiber optic or highly automated manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain PLC programs used to control manufacturing processes and support equipment.
Provide hands-on controls and automation support for production and facilities (PC- and PLC-based systems).
Collaborate with technical staff to resolve daily production issues related to equipment or control software.
Support commissioning of new equipment from I/O checkout to run readiness.
Ensure backups of all programs and critical files per plant standards.
Comply with safety procedures and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 guidelines.
