Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Optical/EO engineer to join our Electro-Optics team on onsite duties. A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

You will contribute to detectors, cryogenic systems, and structures across sensor/seeker subsystems, collaborating with cross-disciplinary engineers to ensure performance and reliability from design through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with Electro-Optical subsystems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Participate as mentee and Individual Contributor supporting program activities.
• Optical alignment/testing of optics assemblies.
• EO modeling, simulation, and analysis applications.
• Requirements development, validation, and subsystem trade studies.
• Design of optical and opto-mechanical seeker systems and test fixtures.
• Troubleshoot production issues with engineering and production teams.
• Support assembly and documentation of electro-optical subsystems.
• Root-cause analysis and corrective action implementations.
