Job summary

Radiance Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a curious engineer to analyze non-traditional systems, reverse engineer optical subsystems, design test setups, and generate data packages to describe operation.

The ideal candidate has active TS clearance, 5+ years in engineering including military weapons analysis, and proficiency with Python, SolidWorks, and LabVIEW. Mentorship of junior engineers is welcomed as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

US Citizenship.
Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
5+ years of related engineering experience. At least 2 years of this experience must include military weapon analysis, repair, and/or testing.
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline related to optical engineering.
Experience reverse engineering electo-optical and imaging systems.
Experience generating technical reports and data packages to describe system operation.
Experience analyzing, operating, troubleshooting, and repairing military weapons.
Experience with Python, Solidworks, LabView, and other engineering tools.
Understanding of assembly and alignment of systems.
Lab, test, and design experience from class and outside projects.
Ability to mentor junior engineers.
