Qualifications

• Option 1: Completion of 2 or more years of college.
• Option 2: 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
• Option 3: 2 years' general work experience, including 1 year's optical experience.
• Must have ABO certification and meet state licensure requirements as applicable.
• Must obtain optician licensure within 3 months after apprenticeship completes.

Responsibilities

• Lead department sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution.
• Forecasts sales trends and aligns product assortments with member needs and local patterns.
• Monitors pricing and adjusts strategies to achieve financial targets.
• Leads, coaches, and develops the optical team through hiring, training, performance management, and recognition.
• Oversees eyewear measurements and fittings under optometric supervision and ensures HIPAA compliance.
