Job summary

Nokia is seeking a Project Manager for Optical Communication Systems Manufacturing to lead the production ramp-up across domestic sites, coordinating with engineering, procurement and site leadership to align activities, manage capital expenditures, and ensure timely installation and integration of new equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) and 5+ years of PM experience in manufacturing or technology, with proficiency in MS Project/Smartsheet and Jira/Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or technology.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with optical communication systems or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience with Agile (system), Jira & Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans to ensure successful production ramp-up across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Oversee and track capital expenditures, aligning investments with budgetary goals and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate logistics and timelines for delivery, installation, and integration of new manufacturing equipment.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication between engineering, operations, procurement, and site leadership teams.
• Identify project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and success.
• Maintain records of milestones, expenditures, and performance metrics for senior leadership review.
• Lead regular project status meetings, providing updates and actionable insights to diverse teams across geographic locations.
• Support adoption of best practices and continuous improvement methodologies within the project management framework.
