Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Optical Associate, Non-Certified at Sam’s Club in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves stocking, pricing, and maintaining the Optical area, assisting members with eyewear decisions, and processing orders. You will help with frame adjustments, lens types, and dispensing under supervision.

You’ll educate members on eyewear care, assist with contact lens guidance, and use the POS for transactions. The position includes varied shifts and a wage range of $18.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
• Willingness to pursue ABO certification within 15 months where required.
• Ability to work as an optical associate under state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Stock and present merchandise, handle pricing and signage, and organize displays.
• Assist members with eyewear purchases, measurements, adjustments, and repairs.
• Process eyewear orders, verify prescriptions, and handle payments at the POS.
• Educate members on eyewear care and support contact lens insertion/removal guidance.
• Schedule appointments and process insurance claims for eye care services where applicable.
