Job summary

eTeam seeks an Optical Assembly Technician to join our high-precision manufacturing team in Santa Clara, CA. The role involves assembling, aligning, and inspecting complex optical systems in a controlled ISO Class 6 cleanroom environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (optics/photonics certification a plus), meticulous manual dexterity, and experience with microscopes and metrology tools. This is a 24-month contract with standard shifts and strict quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification in optics or photonics is a plus.
• Experience in ISO cleanroom environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Precision Assembly: Build and integrate intricate optical components and sub-assemblies.
• Cleanroom Operations: Work daily within an ISO Class 6 cleanroom, follow gowning protocols.
• Microscopic Inspection: Use high-power microscopes to inspect components for surface defects and align lenses.
• Testing & Calibration: Use optical metrology tools and software to verify performance and log data.
• Documentation: Maintain digital and physical production logs and ensure quality standards.
