Aeva, Inc. in Mountain View seeks a hands-on optical aligner and test engineer to develop and optimize the optical module used in LiDAR and sensor product lines.

You will build alignment sequences, fixtures and test methods for prototype through high-volume production, collaborating with Photonics, mechanical, manufacturing and quality teams.

Formación

• MS or PhD in physics, photonics, optical engineering or related field.
• Strong Python automation experience; LabVIEW and C# knowledge preferred.
• Experience with optical alignment, lasers, detectors and test equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop robust, fast active alignment sequences for lasers, detectors and fibers.
• Specify and build fixtures and high-precision motor stages for sub-micron alignment.
• Develop tests and analysis routines for screening optical modules and assemblies; optimize test time and throughput.
• Collaborate with external vendors to evaluate and procure advanced align/test solutions.
• Analyze test data to identify variation, drift and failures.
