Job summary
Aeva is seeking an NPI Alignment Engineer to partner with design teams and contract manufacturers to develop precision active alignment equipment. You will lead from concept to production release and address hardware and process issues across suppliers.
The role requires 3–5 years in optoelectronic active alignment, hands-on experience with alignment hardware, GUIs, and automation. Willingness to travel internationally is expected.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience designing and building optoelectronic active alignment equipment.
- Experience in developing and debugging active aligner hardware and processes.
- Familiarity with alignment sequences in custom equipment GUIs.
- Strong understanding of geometric optics and precision mechanical alignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop in-house and outsourced active alignment equipment from concept to production release.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to solve hardware and process issues on-site and remotely.
- Oversee failure analysis of process and assembly related issues.
- Source and qualify active alignment components for production.
- Provide DFM feedback and own related design decisions for alignment.
