Job summary

Tallahassee State College is seeking an OPS Simulation Technician for the Ghazvini Healthcare Center. This part-time role focuses on implementing simulation training to enhance student learning, safety, and quality in healthcare.

Responsibilities include setting up simulations, operating equipment, and maintaining simulators. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1 year of experience with high-fidelity simulators and multimedia devices, plus PC/Mac software skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• One year of experience with high-fidelity human patient simulators, multimedia equipment, and a variety of medical equipment.
• Computer proficiency in PC and Mac-based software applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean up simulation environment before and after sessions.
• Program simulators and operate equipment during simulations (computer hardware, props, EHR, patient simulators, AV).
• Develop proficiency with operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Coordinate transport of simulation equipment and conduct inventory of supplies.
• Assist with data entry and create moulage/materials for scenarios per checklist.

OPS Simulation Technician

Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Simulation Technician in our Ghazvini Healthcare Center. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.

What You’ll Do
As an OPS Simulation Technician , you’ll play a key role in implementing simulation training designed to enhance student learning and promote safety and quality in healthcare.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with setting up and cleaning up of simulation environment prior and after the simulation sessions.
• Assisting in programming simulators and running simulation equipment during simulations including computer hardware, props, EHR, human patient simulators and audio-visual systems.
• Developing technical proficiency with all aspects of operation, maintenance support, trouble shooting and repair for all equipment.
• Coordinating transport of simulation equipment, as necessary. Conducting inventory of supplies.
• Assisting with data entry for various record-keeping. Creating moulage and any other materials for the simulation sessions as outlined in the scenarios’ checklist, and other duties as assigned by the Director.

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience with the use of high-fidelity human patient simulators, multimedia equipment, and experience with a variety of medical equipment.
• Computer proficiency in PC and Mac-based software applications is required.

HOURS: 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday with the occasional evening and/or weekend required. (See specific details in Additional Job Description)
