Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking an Associate Operations Research Analyst to support the Strategic Systems Analysis Group at HQ USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE. You will contribute to analytical efforts that evaluate NC3 architectures and mission effectiveness.

The role involves data collection, MBSE modeling, and post-processing of simulation outputs, with opportunities to present findings to customers and participate in briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, physical science, operations research, data science, or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years’ experience with systems engineering methods, tools, and processes.
• 0-2 years’ experience using Modeling and Simulation software to represent physical systems and conduct statistical analysis.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance for work at Offutt AFB.
• Experience with MBSE languages and frameworks (SysML, UML, UAF, or UPDM).
• Experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparks EA).
• Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages.
• Experience using data visualization software (Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Support project teams by contributing to analytical efforts that evaluate the performance, resilience, and mission effectiveness of NC3 systems.
• Assist with data collection, specification reviews, and the development of system-of-systems models using MBSE tools.
• Participate in modeling and simulation activities to examine operational scenarios and assess system behavior, mission assurance, and performance trends.
• Prepare technical presentations, written reports, and other deliverables that communicate analytic findings and recommendations to customers.
• Engage in customer meetings and briefings, providing analytic support and contributing to discussions related to NC3 modeling, simulation results, and system-of-systems analysis.
