This is a part-time, temporary position
The Department of Management Services is seeking a part-time Personnel Technician to join the Office of Human Resources. This position will be responsible for assisting the Training Coordinator and HR professionals with administrative duties. Maintaining confidentiality is essential to success in this position. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist with the logistical setup for in-person training sessions, including organizing training packets, printing handouts, and setting up the physical training space.
Conduct basic research on assigned topics and help draft preliminary outlines for new training modules/sessions.
Work alongside the Professional Development Coordinator to proofread materials, organize slide decks, and gather resources for overall course development.
Assist in formatting documents, presentations, and digital content to meet Section 508 accessibility standards (e.g., adding image alt-text, ensuring focus order/heading structure, and including close captions). Training on Section 508 compliance will be provided.
Perform basic data entry and other administrative tasks as needed by the HR office.
