  • Prepare orientation packets and assist with new employee orientations.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain Tickets in HRHealthDesk system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Title: OPS STAFF ASSISTANT - 64945132

Assist the Personnel Liaison with personnel actions/steps and supporting documents for processes including but not limited to recruitment, classification, and separations; includes sending forms and documents to and receiving them from the Department of Health Office of Human Resource Management (DOH OHRM).

Helps with fingerprint/background and drug screen procedures for candidates and rescreens for employees.

Assists with ensuring Human Resource posters are displayed as required by law or policy.

Assists with making sure position descriptions are updated and correct/accurate.

Puts together New Employee Orientation packets and assists with New Employee Orientations.

Revies documents associated with Personnel Liaison processes to ensure accuracy/correctness/completeness.

Helps track Tickets in the HRHealthDesk Ticket system.

All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of administrative office support functions
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • Intermediate computer skills, including typing, answering emails, composing emails, data entry, and navigating the internet
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to organize and maintain confidential and sensitive materials
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Ability to determine work priorities and ensure completion of assignments
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail

Qualifications:
Minimum:
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • 1 year experience in administrative office support
Preferred:
  • 2 years of experience in administrative assistant position
  • Experience with confidential data
