Job summary

Columbia University in the City of New York is seeking a Director of Operations and Partnerships for the Data Science Institute's Strategic Alliances team. The role combines internal operations leadership with external-facing partnership management to deliver mutual value for academic and industry stakeholders.

The Director will oversee day-to-day operations, align cross-functional teams, and steward key partner relationships, while mentoring a client relations team and ensuring CRM integrity

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years directly relevant experience with at least three years of management experience.
• Politically savvy with executive stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage programs and large cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Strategic Alliances team and align cross-functional workflows.
• Manage partner relationships, Capstones, marketing, communications and events.
• Directly supervise the Client Relations output and team members.
• Maintain partnership documentation, timelines, and CRM data integrity.
• Engage faculty to surface alliance opportunities and match research strengths with industry needs.
