Job summary

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES is seeking an OPS Park Ranger for the Florida Forest Service to perform site maintenance, cleaning, and routine outdoor duties in a part-time OPS role.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel occasionally to respond to emergencies. Applicants must complete the candidate profile and may be subject to background screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Sweep floors, wipe down counters and sinks.
• Blow off areas around BBQ grills and fixed structures at trailheads.
• Brush cobwebs from pavilion rafters, under benches & tables, and on exterior of structures.
• Remove ashes from BBQ grills and fire rings if needed.
• Conduct general maintenance including plumbing repairs and replacement of camping or trailhead signs/kiosks.
• Remove fallen limbs, debris, and trash from grounds and dock.
• Mowing, weed-eating, and general landscaping.
• Clean office areas, trash receptacles, and restrooms.
• Assist in other projects as needed.
