OPS Non-Student Classroom Teacher Assistant, Little EaglesLearning Center
The OPS Non-Student Classroom Teacher Assistant assists staff inthe classroom with duties such as general cleaning of theclassroom, washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning the playgroundand other areas of the center as assigned along with assisting withclassroom activities with the children after completion of therequired training.
Job Description
Typical duties include, but not limited to:
- Assists Teachers to ensure the safety and welfare of infants,toddlers, and preschool children.
- Ensures a clean, orderly, and healthy environment for thecenter including but not limited to washing dishes and doinglaundry and cleaning the playground and classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a nurturing and supportivelearning environment that fosters the physical, emotional, andcognitive development of children.
- Follow center policies and procedures, including health andsafety protocols, to ensure compliance and minimize risks tochildren and staff.
Other Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must complete 45 DCF training hours within 90 days ofhire.
- Must complete 1-hour DCF Safe Sleep Practices for Child Carewithin 30 days
- Must complete 5-hour DCF Child care Personnel OrientationCourse within 7 days or 1 hour Universal Precautions/ExposureTraining with director.
- Must complete Infant/adult CPR and first Aid within 90days.
- Must complete 5-minute Fire Extinguisher Training by the firstday.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
