We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to support the procurement and contracting functions for Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management. The ideal candidate will have experience managing government procurement processes and a solid understanding of Florida Statutes, administrative rules, and state procurement requirements.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts.
  • Solicit and evaluate price quotes, bids, and proposals in compliance with Chapter 287, F.S.
  • Conduct market research to identify suppliers and analyze pricing trends.
  • Assist in drafting procurement specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
  • Ensure complete documentation and recordkeeping for audits.
  • Coordinate with program areas to identify procurement needs and timelines.
  • Utilize MFMP, FLAIR, AOD, and other procurement systems to support purchasing activities.

  • Ensure purchasing actions align with agency budget and financial guidelines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of state budgeting and procurement systems including MFMP, FLAIR, and AOD.
  • Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement-related software.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Qualifications:
