Job summary

Comcast Advertising is seeking an IT Operations professional to manage and enhance its services and infrastructure across key ecosystems. The role focuses on deploying and stabilizing code, driving standardization, and promoting automation across networks.

You will communicate clearly during outages and collaborate with engineering teams and vendors. The position requires 2–5 years in IT/Network Operations, hands-on monitoring with Nagios XI, Grafana, and Datadog, and strong incident management

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Network Operations, System Monitoring, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms (Nagios XI, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience with alert management and incident correlation tools (BigPanda or similar).
• Proficiency in Jira for incident tracking and workflow coordination.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, event management, and operational support processes.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and responding to system alerts in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze monitoring data, identify trends, and propose reliability improvements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and assessment of the network, develop and refine scripts.
• Maintain operational stability and administer Unix, WebLogic, Linux configurations.
• Troubleshoot and manage network protocols for optimization.
• Formulate strategies to improve network performance and reliability.
• Create and update network operational documentation; communicate configurations clearly.
• Evaluate and optimize XNOC tools for effective network operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intermediate network issues; monitor services to minimize downtime.
• Update software to ensure consistent system performance and reliability.
• Exercise independent judgment in significant matters.
• Adhere to rotating/hybrid schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.
