Job summary

Curtis Legal Group is seeking a Director of Operations (DOO) to translate firm strategy into scalable systems, supporting the C-Suite, attorneys, and legal teams. This role focuses on optimizing delivery, reducing variability, and driving profitability without giving legal direction.

The DOO will report to the C-Suite and work across offices, driving standards, workflows, and AI-enabled enhancements to improve efficiency and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or demonstrated operational leadership experience.
• Experience in leading operational teams, preferably in professional services or legal services.
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) programs and systems.
• Understanding of business budgets and accounting systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution and consistency of legal workflows from intake handoff through case resolution.
• Monitor KPIs including AI usage, client service, attorney revenue, case progression, and team capacity.
• Collaborate with Managing Attorneys to align operational systems with legal strategy and client outcomes.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) supporting legal teams.
• Assist HR to recruit and develop existing and future team members.
• Lead and develop legal operation supervisors, managers, and support leaders.
