The role requires strong analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and regulatory awareness to shape policies and technology solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science, accounting or related discipline with a process development focus.
• 3-4 years progressive experience in broad-based business and process development (level 6).
• 5+ years progressive experience in broad-based business and process development (level 7).
• 2+ years experience managing process project.
• 2+ years engineering or operations experience in a gas utility, pipeline transmission, or other energy related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates Southern Company Gas’s participation in the AGA Best Practices Benchmarking Program ensuring SMEs are prepared and complete data collection by deadlines.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop and produce operational benchmarking measures.
• Forms and creates Operational benchmarking reports for executive leadership using AGA data points.
• Provides research support to identify Operations and Compliance trends and activities.
• Uses Power BI and Excel to process data into meaningful output for leadership.
• Leads multiple, complex Operations and Compliance projects and programs.
• Evaluates and incorporates laws, regulations, and tariffs related to gas operations when developing policies.
• Works with SMEs to conduct analysis, risk assessment, and development activities for policies and tech solutions.
• Conducts detailed analytics to support educational learnings and implementation activities.
• Facilitates sessions to ensure understanding of goals and deliverables.
• Monitors project budget, scope, plan, risks, and milestones with stakeholders.
• Writes documentation supporting policies, procedures, processes and lifecycle activities.
