The Josef Group in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced OPIR Imagery Scientist to support advanced remote sensing and intelligence analysis efforts. The role emphasizes OPIR/EO-IR data, Python tool development, and AI-enabled workflows.

Candidates will analyze sensor data, develop pipelines, validate data quality, and collaborate with engineers and government stakeholders. A TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility is required, with competitive salary in the $200k–$215k range.

Formación

• U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Hands-on experience exploiting OPIR or other infrared sensor data.
• Strong understanding of infrared phenomenology and remote sensing principles.
• Experience developing analytical tools or software using Python or a similar language.
• Familiarity with version control, testing, and software development best practices.
• Experience with imagery exploitation tools such as ArcGIS, ENVI, SOCET GXP, RemoteView, or similar platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and exploit OPIR and EO/IR sensor data to detect, track, and characterize events of interest.
• Develop Python-based analytical tools, algorithms, and data-processing pipelines.
• Evaluate sensor data quality, collection parameters, and infrared signatures.
• Leverage AI-assisted development and automation to improve analytical workflows.
• Support data calibration, testing, validation, and implementation of new capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and government stakeholders to address technical requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, briefings, and analytical findings.
• Assist with sensor collection planning and operational testing.
