Job summary

Tufts University in Boston seeks a research coordinator to support opioid-related studies within the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine. You will help coordinate recruitment, data collection, and data management for qualitative and quantitative activities across Massachusetts.

You will assist in developing mHOPE dashboard content, GIS maps, and blogposts, collaborating with EXAKT/EXOUD teams and community partners to advance research on xylazine, LAIB, and related health outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience working on opioid-related research projects
• Comfortable working in local communities with people who use drugs
• Experience with opioid-related research and exposure to xylazine/LAIB is desirable
• Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Python, ArcGIS Pro
• Ability to travel between Boston and other MA regions as needed
• Follow study protocols and work well under pressure
• High discretion with confidential materials and ability to work with minoritized populations

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, consent, enrollment, data collection, and data management for qualitative and quantitative studies across Massachusetts
• Assist with development of mHOPE data dashboard content including GIS maps and visualizations
• Ensure data completeness and accuracy, reviewing forms and maintaining data storage
• Support intake, enrollment, and data collection activities for EXAKT and EXOUD Mass studies
• Participate in team communications to share concerns and best practices
• Contribute to interview guides, surveys, manuals, presentations, and manuscripts
• Attend in-person team meetings at home institution or field sites
