Job summary

CarePlus NJ Inc is seeking an Opioid Use Disorder Wellness Therapist (LSW, LAC, LPC, or LCSW) in Paramus, NJ. You will provide individual counseling and lead wellness workshops for professionals working with SUD populations.

The role requires a master's in behavioral health, clinical experience, and active licensure. On-site schedule includes standard hours with two evening shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, including internships or community-based services.
• Provisional/Professional Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LAC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• A valid driver's license and insurability by the agency's automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling and wellness workshops for professionals working with opioid use disorder clients.
• Maintain a diverse caseload of approximately 45–55 clients and expand clinical knowledge.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, assess progress, and coordinate with community resources.
• Develop psychosocial treatment plans with measurable goals and timelines.
• Plan discharge/aftercare/transfer and document progress for continuity of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in meetings.

On-site & community-based: M-F 8-4pm or 9-5pm and 2 evening shifts.
Hourly: $28.85 with LAC or LSW; 31.25 with LPC or LCSW

Job Summary:

As the Wellness Therapist, you will provide individual counseling and workshop services to professionals who work with the Opioid Use Disorder population. These wellness workshops are for outside agencies to increase overall self-care for professionals, who are working with clients suffering for substance use disorder or co‑occurring disorder.

What You Will Do:

• Demonstrate an ability to have a diverse caseload of approximately 45-55 clients of various ages and clinical presentations to be able to expand one's clinical knowledge and experience.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions and assessments to help individuals achieve their treatment goals, link to community resources, and provide inter‑agency coordination of treatment.
• Assess and evaluate clients at intake, admission, during ongoing treatment and service delivery, and at discharge or transfer.
• Formulate psychosocial treatment plans with relevant goals, behaviorally measurable objectives that serve as indexes for evaluating treatment progress, and realistic time frames for achievement.
• Plan for, communicate, and document discharge/aftercare/transfer plans for clients completing treatment and accessing other services in the continuum.
• Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team in the assessment and evaluation of clients, provide written documentation of client's history and assessment information, and actively participate in program and clinical team meetings.

What We Need to See:

• Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, including but not limited to internships, community-based services, case management, etc.
• Must have the ability to respond to clients for crisis intervention.
• Provisional/Professional Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LAC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
• A valid driver's license and you must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance
