Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team. This role blends advanced technical skill with high-quality patient care in a specialty setting.

You will assist with examinations, diagnostics, anesthesia, and postoperative nursing, while coordinating with doctors and staff to ensure safe, efficient care for our diverse ophthalmology caseload. A collaborative environment with ongoing learning and CE opportunities is provided.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician with relevant experience in ophthalmology or anesthesia.
• Strong skills in anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
• Proficient in IV catheter placement and medication administration.
• Familiar with ophthalmic diagnostics and related equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a busy specialty setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ophthalmologist with examinations, treatments, and surgical cases.
• Perform ophthalmic diagnostics such as Schirmer testing and tonometry.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for ophthalmic procedures.
• Safely administer medications under veterinary supervision.
• Monitor anesthesia and manage patient recovery and records.
• Maintain organized spaces and accurate documentation.
