Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Certified Ophthalmology Technician I in Georgia to support ophthalmology services under supervision. You will perform ophthalmic tests, assist with exams, and help prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.

The role includes recording results, assisting in refractive/diagnostic procedures, and providing pre- and post-operative care. Daily duties include contact lens work and medication management at Cumberland Medical Offices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
  • CAAHEP-accredited OT program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care during physician visits.
  • Assist ophthalmologist with exams, procedures, and test results.
  • Perform and record tests including refractive/diagnostic procedures and ocular measurements.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and post-operative instructions.
  • Assist with contact lens cleaning, fitting, and patient guidance.
  • Order and maintain ophthalmologic medications and supplies.
