Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking an Ophthalmology Technician to support the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This full-time position offers a mission-driven environment and the opportunity to serve military personnel and their families with dedicated ophthalmic care.

Ideal candidates will have two years of refractive surgery center experience, COA/COT certification, and strong knowledge of ocular anatomy and ophthalmic instruments.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Two years of refractive surgery center experience after graduation with laser platforms; knowledge of ocular anatomy, medications, visual physiology and optics.
• Current COA or COT certification and BLS required.

Position Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Two years of experience in a Refractive Surgery Center after graduation on a major laser surgery platform (i.e. Visex. EX 500. VisuMax). Must have knowledge of ocular anatomy; ophthalmic medications; visual physiology, optics; use and maintenance of ophthalmic instruments and testing equipment; ophthalmic and medical regulations;
• Possess and maintain current certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT
• BLS
