Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks an Optometrist to support Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. This role focuses on providing high-quality eye care to service members and their families at a military medical facility.

Applicants should be a U.S. citizen with state licensure and NBEO certification, and have knowledge of ocular physiology, optics, refraction, and contact lens principles. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice optometry in the state (therapeutic preferred) and NBEO certification.
• Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology and pathology; optics, refraction and contact lens principles.

Position Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• State optometric therapeutic licensure or equivalent
• Current National Board of Examiners in Optometry certification.
• Professional knowledge of ocular physiology, anatomy, and pathology commensurate with American Optometric Association and community optometric standards and a thorough knowledge of optics, refraction and contact lens principles.
• Professional knowledge of advanced optometry procedures, instrumentation, and techniques as related to the field of optometry.
• Professional knowledge of refractive surgery to include familiarity with the refractive lasers currently used in the Ophthalmology Clinic, patient selection, and co-management of refractive surgery patients.
• Minimum of 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months as an Optometrist in a setting of similar size and complexity.
