Job summary

NVISION Eye Centers in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across the life span within our Surgery Center. You will work with LPN/RN to provide compassionate, safe, and individualized nursing care and patient education.

Responsibilities include assisting in admissions, FEMTO laser procedures, sterile processing, patient transport, discharge procedures, and maintaining infection control. Requires MA licensure, BLS, and ophthalmology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State licensure as Medical Assistant is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission process by escorting patients and ensuring privacy.
• Assist in FEMTO laser procedures as needed.
• Assist in sterile processing as needed.
• Assist in safe transport of patients and discharge procedures.
• Maintain infection control and proper disposal of biohazardous waste.
