Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) in Phoenix seeks a Scribe to document information into the Electronic Health Record, gather medical details from patients, and support providers with pretests and measurements to ensure high-quality care and patient experience.

You will review visit details, assist with rooming, and help manage schedules, while using Erx for medication prescriptions and educating patients on ophthalmic conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• COA or COT preferred.
• Ophthalmology experience is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule working Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information into the EHR.
• Review patient visit details and pre-workups for accuracy.
• Fill patient rooms as needed.
• Review schedules for correct patient flow.
• Ensure smooth visit flow with provider.
• Generate prescriptions via Erx as directed.
• Educate patients on ophthalmic conditions and procedures.
• Perform pretests (Goldmann Tonometry, extra-ocular muscle evaluation, visual fields, refractions, lensometry) as needed.
• Communicate clinic flow concerns with supervisor.
