Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners, Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician for the Ophthalmology department to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care and educate clients in a collaborative setting.

You will assist with ophthalmic exams, monitor anesthesia, place IV catheters, draw samples, take radiographs, and document histories and treatments while maintaining accurate records and supporting a team of specialists and staff across four 10‑hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician with veterinary experience.
• Proficient in anesthetic monitoring and handling.
• Experience with ophthalmology-related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Ophthalmologic exams
• Obtaining Intraocular pressures
• Measuring blood pressure using Doppler
• Documenting history and updates in medical records
• Assist in anesthetic and sedated procedures
• Maintain accurate treatment sheets
• Take radiographs and obtain and prepare various blood samples
• Provide client education on at home care
