Ethos Veterinary Health's Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County in San Marcos, CA is seeking a California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Ophthalmology team. You will provide specialized nursing and anesthesia support for diagnostics, treatments, and surgery in a fast-paced specialty setting.

Working alongside our Board‑Certified Ophthalmologist, you will help manage anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery, while educating clients and ensuring exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active California RVT license required.
• Minimum two years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Strong anesthesia knowledge and hands-on anesthesia experience.
• Ability to induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ophthalmologist with appointments, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgery.
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Calculate and administer medications, fluids, and CRIs.
• Prepare patients for ophthalmic procedures and sterile surgical prep.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia and sedation.
• Closely monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes in anesthetic status.
• Provide nursing care, patient advocacy, and client education.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with doctors and team.
