Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) seeks an Ophthalmology Registered Nurse to support a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center. You will admit patients to pre-/post-operative areas and provide perioperative nursing care, while coordinating with anesthesia providers and surgeons to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires an Associate’s degree (BSN preferred), current RN license, BLS, and 1 year ophthalmology experience as a Surgery RN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year ophthalmology experience as a Surgery RN is a plus.
• ASC experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and admits patients to the pre-/post-operative area.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care using the nursing process.
• Prepares operating suite, assembles supplies, and ensures equipment is functioning.
• Provides perioperative care and supports anesthesia provider and surgeon.
• Maintains accurate records of patients’ surgical experiences and prepares postoperative care.
