Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks an RN Clinic Specialist for the Ophthalmology Clinic at the M Health Fairview Clinics & Surgery Center. The position is a 0.8 FTE day shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm), eligible for benefits, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

You will perform independent nursing tasks, assist providers, and support patient education and triage, using state-of-the-art eye care technology. Requires RN license in Minnesota, BSN/ADN, BLS, and preferred ophthalmology/critical care

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or BSN.
• Specialty training or graduate classes related to clinical area of practice.
• 5 years of hospital or clinic experience or
• 2 years of specialty/critical care experience with specialty certification.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Implements nursing interventions based on plan of care.
• Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
