Ophthalmology Physician Job with SSM Health in Madison, WI

Join three Glaucoma specialists in an established practice at the nationally recognized Davis Duehr Dean Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin. Davis Duehr Dean, a division of SSM Health Dean Medical Group, is a multi-specialty eye institute equipped for a four-member glaucoma practice. The facility includes an adjacent outpatient surgical center with a dedicated ophthalmic anesthesia team, a state-of-the-art photography department with three ophthalmic photographers, and an ophthalmic diagnostic center supporting our glaucoma service and the entire division.

SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean comprises 22 ophthalmologists and 33 optometrists serving 19 locations in Southern Wisconsin. The department includes specialists in comprehensive ophthalmology, cornea, oculoplastics, external disease, pediatrics, refractive surgery, and retina. Many ophthalmologists participate in outreach programs at regional sites. Academic appointments and research opportunities may be available through the University of Wisconsin.

Our legacy at Davis Duehr Dean spans over a century, leading in eye care and innovative surgical techniques. As part of SSM Health and Dean Medical Group, we have nearly 60 providers, including board-certified ophthalmologists, optometrists, and subspecialists, offering advanced surgical procedures, traditional eye care, and retail optical services across 15 sites. Our comprehensive services include pediatric ophthalmology, retina, oculoplastics, refractive surgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma, cornea, optometry, low vision, optical stores, and various eye surgeries.

Surgeries are performed at community hospitals, St. Mary's in Janesville and Madison, St. Clare in Baraboo, and the Davis Duehr Dean Surgery Center in Madison. Our staff includes Certified Ophthalmic Assistants, Technicians, Medical Technologists, Opticians, nurses, photographers, and business staff, with ongoing in-house training and continuing education.
