Job summary

Unifeye Vision Partners is seeking a skilled Glaucoma Surgeon to join our ophthalmology team in Plano, TX. You will diagnose and manage glaucoma, perform advanced surgical procedures, and contribute to multidisciplinary patient care.

Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO, board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology, and fellowship training in glaucoma surgery. Texas licensure is preferred, with a mix of outpatient and surgical duties in modern facilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology or eligibility.
• Fellowship training in Glaucoma surgery preferred.
• Texas medical license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform glaucoma evaluations and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (medical, laser, surgical).
• Perform glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomy, tube shunt, MIGS, etc.).
• Monitor post-operative progress and adjust care as needed.
• Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with standards.
• Stay current with glaucoma treatments and techniques through CE.
• Educate patients and families on glaucoma management and preventive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic testing for patients with glaucoma.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including medical, laser, and surgical interventions.
• Perform glaucoma surgeries such as trabeculectomy, tube shunt implantation, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), and other advanced procedures.
• Monitor patient progress post-surgery and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in glaucoma treatment and surgical techniques through continuing education and professional development.
• Educate patients and their families about glaucoma management and preventive care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.

Work Environment

This position is based in Plano, TX, within a modern clinical setting equipped with the latest ophthalmic technology. The role involves both outpatient clinic hours and surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting.

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
