Qualifications

  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced surgical procedures for retinal diseases including detachments and vitreoretinal disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive retinal exams and testing to tailor individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with optometrists and other ophthalmic specialists for coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with retinal surgery advancements and participate in CME.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnosis, options, and post-op care.
  • Participate in clinical research and contribute to surgical technique advancement (optional).

Ophthalmology Physician Employment In Texas

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Retina Surgeon to join our growing ophthalmology practice in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and surgically treating complex retinal diseases and disorders, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.


Responsibilities


  • Perform advanced surgical procedures for retinal diseases including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and vitreoretinal disorders.

  • Conduct comprehensive retinal examinations and diagnostic testing to develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with optometrists, general ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Stay current with the latest advancements in retinal surgery and participate in continuing medical education.

  • Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and post-operative care.

  • Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of retinal surgical techniques (optional).


Qualifications


  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.

  • Fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery or Surgical Retina.

  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas PREFERRED

  • Proven experience performing complex retinal surgeries.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
